Tropical rainforests are extremely important to the environment and world around us. Rainforests provide about 1/4 of the world's medicine and health products, and produce around 40% of the world's oxygen. More than half of the world's species of plants and animals can found in rainforests.
Tropical forests are forests of tall trees, dense vegetation and a large variety of animal life. They get a large amount of rain (1800mm to 2500mm a year) and is part of the tropical wet climate group. Humidity is between 77% and 88% and temperature is almost always between 20°C and 35°C. |
